All right, gang! What's going on on that first day of school? When is it, and how many pages do you put into the hands of your team members?

Things more or less went the way they usually do: really slowly.

We begin school tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14) so we shall see. My class has 29 students, 23 who are new to the program! We should be fine at the honors level and got some good news this past week with a surprise late addition to the class of a scholastic student who I think will do well. But we (like most schools, I guess) are going to really struggle with our varsity team members. My first-day hope is that the varsity kids (all new to AcDec) we have in the program come in and dazzle us with their dedication and willingness to study!

First day will be Monday the 19th. I have 15 in class. A little (lot) worried about having eligible varsity members this year. I wish for you all a wonderful year.
I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.

Ah yes, Varsity eligibility... we want the low grades, but not too low!

First day of school we just talked about the class and had some discussion about their summer readings. We started quizzing Tuesday. Going to be an interesting year. Not a ton of Bs and Cs made it this year. Still on the hunt for some more. #RebuildYear

The first week was real tough on most of them, trying to get back into the swing of things.  Juniors especially struggling with the workload.

My youngest daughter just started her first day of senior year at Richland College High School. That means, if all goes well, we'll be driving her on up to college next summer. :smug:

Ironically, although I do not teach AcDec, I nevertheless have a packet in front of me and am writing multiple-choice questions for it. It's for internal company training, but still brings back those econometric skillz.
